I switched back to round wounds after trying out the flats for a year. Flats sounded great, I had the LaBella deep talkin bass, but I eventually found myself missing the grip pf rounds. The sound on the rounds is a bit punchier, but slightly less low than the flats. Having the grip in my strings back feels great tho, and the gauge is just as heavy. Very happy with the switch

I gave this a 4.0 (Great) rating for 2 reasons. !# ANYTHING LaBella makes in terms of bass strings is "GREAT". #2 There the only ones you can find for a 6 sting bass GUITAR. Fender & Squire VI Bass GUITARS. NOT normal Bass guitar strings.

These strings are my favorite bass VI strings and I can only ever find them on sweetwater. If you are considering venturing into the world of bass VI I highly recommend these strings.
