Perfect .. "Just what the Doctor Ordered"!!

So I am actually a guitar player, but with all our gigs having been canceled, I have spent a lot of time recording which means I play "all the parts"! I decided to try some "Flats" on my P Bass and tried a set of Fender 50's. WOW ... What a difference .... 1). EZ on the fingers 2). Fuller recorded sound (DI to PreSonus 192 or Series lll 16R) 3). String Noise is gone!! 4). "Smoooooooooth".. read more LOL

Really nice sounding, mellow flats

After using a few different brands of flatwounds (D'Addario chromes, Rotosound Jazz 77's and GHS) over time and not being overly satisfied with any of them, I grabbed a set of these on the fly. These Fender flatwounds really surprised me. They're warm and mellow sounding and they really respond well to different "touches" and pressures. I've been using these as my flats of choice, read more almost exclusively (other than for short scale basses) for the last couple of years. Very expressive strings and very easy on the wallet. Give 'em a try.

Smooth Sounding Strings

Really preferred medium heavy but decided to try these. Very smooth sound and the mediums do seem to give me a bit more punch particularly up the neck. They feel great on the fingers and are very responsive. Also can get a good growl if you hit 'em hard!

Flat wind is smooth and full. Retains punch and definition too! Easy on fingers.

Silky finger delights

Hey, I love these strings. Better finger feel and tone IMO than the Rotosounds that I have played. My only complaint is that I can't get these with a 105 bottom string. Just a little thicker and maybe drop D tuning wouldn't get floppy.
