This is a great option for me. this head supports all the classic Vox tone at any volume. the attenuator is key to your volume vs sound. anywhere I play out, the AC15 watt head with the matched 2-12 cabinet is plenty of power, besides these amps love to be cranked up into the sweet spot. We run this through our Ox in the studios and the clarity of this amp is mind blowing Push the gain and volume and this baby will scream...but without loss is clarity..... Just a super versatile amp that does everything great.... This is an extremely loud 15 watts....I powered a 412 cab with it and it was rich,full and oh yeah loud. The amp sounds great and is easy to use. Goes from clean to dirty and everything in between. The power attenuator allows you to get the whole pallet of sounds at a level that won't get you kick out of the house! I am running it thru a homemade cabinet with 2 Celestin Gold 10s, 8 ohm, wired in series. At full power it will blow you hair back!

I love the tone this amp produces and the built-in attenuation allows people in the next room to remain undisturbed. I could not be happier and it works great with pedals but maybe not all of them. I use a delay and a boost from an eleven rack.

This amp is absolutely a classic rock platform and works wonderfully with all the pedals I have on the floor. The one heads up is that you'll want to run your pedals in the Normal channel so they don't compress the sound too much, IMO. Also be aware that the on board attenuater only works when hooked up to a 16 ohm load. Here in the USA I believe most of us run more commonly… read more 8 ohm speakers and I found going to the 16 ohm setup does improve the definition a lot once married with this head.
