It's Back!
Brought the ol' D-76 Martin back to life which had an old Barcus Berry piezo from back in the seventies! Just make sure your bridge saddle is nice and flat or you could get some dead strings! I use a L.R. Baggs Session acoustic DI to being out the tones and a Source Audio EQ2. Away we go!
Big Sound Small Pickup
Love this acoustic again. Will never need to worry about a battery going out in the middle of a song.
Great Value
This is a relatively inexpensive pickup that is easy to install if you are handy with a drill and soldering iron. I put this in an inexpensive guitar to use in my studio. If you are going to put this in your vintage guitar, go to a luthier. It works good and does not have any electronics. It works with a DI box or guitar amp.
Makes A Great Sound
This pickup makes a fantastic sound, plenty of signal to work with, clean, great overall tone high and low. I did have a Martin service shop install it but it was easy for them and minimal cost.
Could not get any simpler
The Fishman AG-094 was the easiest under saddle pickup that I have installed. I have an enexspinsive Epiphone acoustic that has a very rich tone and this pickup captures that tone. I think that I am starting to like the Epiphone more than my more expensive guitar with electronics that still make a small noise when recording. I may have solved that problem with this passive pickup.
