As I set out to learn how to play slide, I knew that choice of material would be important. I ordered an assortment of quality slides through my Sweetwater rep, Cody Kraus. Cody is a great guy and always treats me like I'm his only customer. One of the slides I ordered was the Rock Slide Aged Brass Slide. I'd always found brass to be overly bright and didn't think I'd like the sound,… read more but i ordered it, anyway, just to have some options and also because of the extremely well-thought out design of Rock Slides. I was amazed at the tone this slide produced! Bright, but fat and warm...possibly due to the aging. All I know is that I love the sound of it and it fits my fat fingers, perfectly. I ordered the Moulded Glass Rock Slide, as well, and, it too, is an outstanding piece with wonderful tone and function. I'm far beyond happy with these slides! Thank you to Rock Slides for doing it right and thank you to Cody Kraus and Sweetwater for the killer service!
