Great Lock Buttons - Do fit Schaller S-Locks

I have two sets of Schallers on my two leather straps. I took a flyer on these since they're about 33% the price of the Schaller buttons. They fit perfectly with the added bonus of being to remove the screws and replace them with longer screws if necessary. YMMV but they worked perfectly for me. Nothing in the item description states that these work with Schaller locks so why would you deduct points for that. I didn't knock a star off of my Android phone review because it doesn't work with my Apple charger...

About fitment issues with Schaller S-locks

I have ordered 5 pairs of these from Sweetwater. The orders from Sweetwater were placed in 8/2019, 6/2020, 10/2020, and the ones that don't fit were ordered in 6/2021. That is around the same time the reviews written about these not fitting (Schaller S-locks) were posted. As you can see for yourself in my pics, the installed Fender buttons (which have been working with my Schaller-equipped… read more straps) are different than the Fender button that is being held next to it.Nothing in life is static, including parts being manufactured (I know people have trouble understanding this), and things change all the time, either intentionally or unintentionally. This was likely either a supplier failing to deliver or a tooling problem and subsequently a quality control slip-up by Fender during that time, but I don't think Fender guarantees fitment with Schaller locks anyway. Do these out-of-spec buttons fit the Fender branded strap-locks, even? I only have Schaller strap side locks on my straps so I can't tell you. But, either way, I'm glad to see that Fender has fixed the issue, if what Raye Boals has shown is true for the current and future inventory.

Work with Schaller

Yes they work - I got some of the newest version of the schaller locks and these do work. They're also much better quality than the fake ones I got off ebay AND these were cheaper.

Good to go

In case someone is wondering, I can confirm these are compatible with the Schaler and Grover U shaped strap locks. I was wanting an extra strap button so I could share a strap with strap lock between 2 basses.
