Many Improvements Over Other Strap Lock Designs
These are great. What I like and what initially sold me on these that others have mentioned: They can be installed in about 2 minutes onto your strap, or moved to a different strap, without tools. Also, they are much lower profile than the pull-pin "S" strap locks that have been a trusted standard. Additionally, I really appreciate that you can use your instrument's original… read more strap button screw -that already perfectly fits- with the button part of this system, AND that the button used for this system is a functional strap button even for straps without the matching lock installed. Some have mentioned that the knurled tightening knob that is also the lock release pops off after a time making the lock unusable. I recommend, during installation, resisting the urge to give a final tightening with pliers and only use strong finger pressure to tighten (wear a surgical or mechanic's glove for a little extra grip if you feel so inclined). Give a couple of sets of these a try. I'm swapping out all of my older ones for these and I'm even adding them to guitars I didn't feel the hassle of strap locks versus the benefit was worth bothering with. Bonus, now I have an interchangeable strap wardrobe for all of my guitars.
Better than the rest.
These strap locks are superior to all others. You can change them between straps without tools. Brilliant. They are very low profile and do not spin or twist around in the strap. An excellent design. They slide onto the strap buttons without the need to depress any hardware. Secure every time. Buy them.
Great Lock-With One Exception
Easily the best lock of the several I have tried. Looks like they should last years; well built of quality material. Easy to use as promised. The only flaw is that one of the tops became disconnected after a few months use. It can be reattached, but is only a temporary fix. I had to replace the whole piece that attaches to the strap. I don’t know if this is a common problem or… read more unusual, but I had to fork out another $... to get a replacement piece. Otherwise, I am a very happy user.
Sexy? YES!
A lifetime of using Schallers but when i got my first PRS Core from Sweetwater, I wanted something sexier. Not much out there so I took a shot with these. After several months of use I cannot report ANY cons. They work great! they have a lower profile than the others, easier to install, easier to use. More expensive? yes. Sexy? YES!
Amazing
Top quality. Best strap locks I"ve ever used.
