KNA Ap-2 acoustic guitar pickup

I am well pleased with my KNA AP-2 acoustic guitar pickup. It's nice to be able to control the volume and the tone can be controlled by my amp. I like the sound it produces from my Alvarez classical guitar. Thanks!!

KNA AP-2 Universal Stick-on Piezo Acoustic Instrument Pickup with Volume Control

LOVE IT!!!! After decades of tolorating the soft baritone uke sound being lost amid the mic vocal and the background accompaniment I made, I finally decided to call Sweetwater and see if anything could be used other than some huge expensive pickup that went under the strings and had a wire coming out of a hole drilled into the instrument like was done decades ago on my beautiful read more Martin guitar and here it is!!! Plus free shipping! It is tiny, cute and I have it plugged into my old, old little Roland cube which still is plenty loud for my purposes. I called back and bought two more since I chose not to move the KNA from instrument to instrument. Now my lap dulcimer and guitar are nice and loud when they are in competition with my voice and backup music. It comes with some sticky stuff which I am experimenting with to see where I can put it to be the loudest before I use the double sided stick on circles. I love it. And I love being able to call Sweetwater and speak to a knowledgable person about exactly what I need and have it in the mail that day. Plus they check up to see if everything is ok. I love their customer service.

Parlor Friendly!

I was having a hard time finding a pick-up that would fit my parlor-sized Recording King before this. The putty to affix the pick-up that comes with it is a bit weak, however, if you don't worry about your instrument's finish you could simply use double-sided tape-- that's what I did, and I don't plan on removing the pick-up anytime soon anyways. Just be mindful of placement, make read more sure the pick-up is as close to the sound hole as you can get it, on the side where the cord will hang down (as opposed to across the strings). I've tested this pick-up at two open mics and so far, so good. I was honestly a little surprised about how clear the sound quality is over a small bar's PA system. I would definitely recommend this to others. If you have a parlor guitar, lute, mandolin, uke, or any other instrument with a sound hole smaller than 3.5"-- this is a great way to turn your baby "electric." An extra thanks to Justin Sunday!

Great Pick Up!

This KNA AP-2 is a great pick up. Finally, I was able to play my acoustic guitar in church. I love the fact that it has a volume button and I can control the volume myself.

Amping my acoustic blues bass

Neat and useful item. My built in pickup failed and the AFA looked like a. Viable option. I mounted mine under the bridge. Mounting is simple with either the two sided mount disc that is self adhesive or a Percy for temp installation. The pick up is good and it amplifies without distortion. It was an easy solution to a shop repair... It was here in 3 days. The amp cord is included read more and it not very intrusive.
