Everything you'd expect

This little amp carries a big sound, and I love it. I'm still experimenting with the gain stage, haven't had it very long. I don't use a super high gain sound most of the time, so I typically have it at about 9 o'clock. Based on the demos I watched, I knew not to expect anything super clean. But as I learn to tame it, I'm getting closer and closer to the sound I was hoping for. read more The "tight" and "cut" switches aren't just there for looks.....they very much help to shape the tone. With a Tele through a 1-12 cab (Vintage 30) we put a mic in front of it and it sounds huge. Haven't gigged with it yet, but I have no doubt it will do the job. Shout out to Chris @ Sweetwater for all of his help, as always.

I got this little guy after a lot of research and I am so blown away! This is the first Friedman I have ever owned and I am so happy I bought it. Plugged into my EVH 2X12 and just WOW. Connected it DI to my studio and used some Impulsive IRs and I cannot believe the tones I am getting. The great tones have inspired me immensely. Great experience with Sweetwater....ordering read more was quick and easy. Amp arrived early and was in perfect condition. Ashton Vaudt my sales engineer was fantastic as always. Thanks Sweetwater....going to play now :)

I have had TEN Friedman heads, and....

... this little Amp is a monster! I have had a 2015-spec BE100, BE50 Deluxe, BE100 Deluxe, Smallbox, Dirty Shirley, Buxom Betty, Pink Taco (original), Pink Taco (Wildwood), Dirty Shirley Jr, and JJ Jr. I've also had Shirley, Smallpox, BE, and BE Deluxe pedals... the latter of which is supposed to be the preamp for this little monster, with a 30-watt class D power amp added. I didn't read more expect too much from this little head. I should have! WHOAH... the Friedman DNA is true here. It even feels like a real tube-powered Friedman. I max my volume and turn the gain all the way down. The tone controls are set noonish, except bass... which is at 3:00. The toggles are set to bright, and tight. I'm running it into my 4x12 loaded with two Heritage H30s and two EVH Greenbacks. When I close my eyes and play, it's like I'm plugged into one of the big BEs. I just hit the front end with an OD pedal to tighten the sound up a hair (it's really just a boost that has a "more" knob). I LOVE this amp! If Dave built a 100-watt version that sold for somewhere between $400-600, he would rule the world.

This little guy is a fire-breather. 30 watts class D power of British high gain tones for days. I play rock and roll and a little bit of metal and this thing will do it with ease. I love Friedman products and this lil guy was too cute to not pick up. I leave it at the bands rehearsal space and its loud enough to keep up and still has some on tap!

Like most players I'm always a little skeptical of solid state, but this tiny amp is absolutely awesome and SUPER loud. You can 100% use this for band practice or live. Cleans up great with volume knob turned down too. Great fx loop and killer high gain tones! Very flexible eq and the 3 position gain cut and tight switches make this thing really flexible. Total no brainer. Absolute read more must buy, especially for the price. You honestly can't tell this isn't a tube amp. The tone, punch and clarity are all there. Just buy it!!!!
