My band plays in e-flat standard and these strings feel great! They feel great in standard tuning as well. I like how the strings kind of grab your fingers as you play. I am more consistent and the notes feel better in my hands. I've played bass off and on for around 30 years. While I can't remember when I first tried these but I do know I've never used anything else since. I just got 2 more sets today and re-stung my bass. I did notice this set had no red winding at the ball end which is not visible on my precision anyway. Also, the G string is about an inch shorter than the old string. This is a… read more long scale set so that may be an ussue for somebody with a bigger / longer inline headstock. Same great sound.

Can’t say enough about how great these strings are if your not a fan of his it doesn’t matter these strings sound great for metal and rock playing. I use them for drop d extremely satisfied with these. Give em a try

The first time I put these strings on, I eagerly tried them out at band rehearsal. The difference was HUGE! Since I run a bit of drive and tons of compression, my bass began to slightly feedback, the roundwounds and detail was crisp with amazing response. Even the feel of the mixed gauge was perfect. These strings are exactly what they claim to be!
