for years I was in search of that Rickenbacker 12 String sound...the one that you hear on "Nowhere Man" by the Beatles or "8 Miles High" by the Byrds, even "Rebel Heart" by the Shelters...I never had the dough for a real Rickenbacker, but I tried multiple 12 electric string copies, all of which fell short...this Danelectro is everything I wanted and more...if you want that classic… read more chimey 12 string electric sound it is here in all of its jangly glory when you use the lipstick bridge pickup...in fact it can deliver a couple of different tones in that arena because the lipstick humbucker is splittable...however, even cooler is that there is a P-90 in the neck pickup...it's warm and delivers totally different tones...you can clean it up and have almost an acoustic sound or run it through dirt and it becomes a throaty beast...it stays in tune great and the setup was killer right out of the box thanks to Sweetwater's 55 point checkup on new guitars...I cannot say enough good things about this instrument...it gave me the sound that I was looking for and more and it's already inspired me to write multiple new tunes, as well as come up with new parts on old tunes...just a fantastic guitar...
