The KNA DB-1 is attached to a 1952 Kay and it sounds better than another microphone pickup we were using previously. The DB-1 was simple to attach. String to string volume and tone balance is not a problem as it is with other piezo pickups. Volume before feedback is more than sufficient for our needs. Without replacing the bridge, this seems like the best solution for us.

I got this for an unusual project and didn't want to mess with taking the Realist off of my other bass so I tried this one. I need to try them side-by-side to really compare, but this is really getting the job done. I'd wanted a clip on mic but the feedback was too much of an issue. This does pretty well with feedback, but I haven't really pushed it much although the cabinet… read more is pointed pretty much at the bass in that room.
