At the heart of the Normal Channel is the Morgan AC20 Deluxe amp, complete with both 12AX7 and EF86 tube preamp sections. Riding shotgun on the second channel is the top boost circuit… read more and controls found in the Morgan Abbey Amplifier! You get these two channels plus a switchable preamp feature that allows you to select between the 12AX7 or EF86 pre-amp tube-set when plugged into the Normal Channel. Add the individual channel and global tone-shaping controls and it all adds up to provide a widely rich and sonically stunning pallet to choose from – and all presented with a killer EL84 power tube section that's loaded with Joe Morgans'variable power control circuitry! I love the easy-to-read chicken-head knobs and controls on the Morgan Dual 20. I find the controls intuitive, simple to use, and work as described! This makes it easy to dial up the tone you want and get it done quickly for the venue you're in! Pick attack, string clarity, harmonics, chime, dirt, and grind are all there, easy to dial-up and sound absolutely glorious! That EF86 tube in the preamp section is a monster and you're going to love using it! The Dual 20 is also an exceptional pedal platform, but I find myself using fewer now cause I just don't need them anymore. I've come to adore the versatile simplicity of this amp! The Morgan Dual 20 is ruggedly built and travels like pro-grade gear. Unlike some tube amps, I have zero concerns transporting it, plugging it in, and cranking it up! It is a consistent performer that delivers tone like a boss! My Sales Engineer Zac Terhune was right on target about this amp! The Morgan Dual 20 was just what I was looking for!
