Worth the hype...and the money!

What a versatile amp. I play everything from metal to jazz and this amp can do it all. It's the best I've heard for high gain tones, fender style clean tones and a blue channel that is edge of break up/bluesy perfection. Its a very expensive amp and was hesitant on spending so much money as a non gigging musician, but I'm blown away by how good this sounds and feels. Sonic Bliss

I've owned this amp for almost a year now; and it just seems to keep sounding better. It's a very special amp that does take a little bit of time dialing in and understanding the nuance behind the settings. Unlike a lot of amps where you can hardly tell the difference on EQ settings. This amp is extremely sensitive to Presence, Treble, Etc and really reacts to right hand touch.… read more Not super impressed w/ the clean channel (but who buys this beast for cleans!) Not saying that the clean is bad, just not up to other (Mesa per day) high gain heads. The blue is true Plexi to driving hard rock, while the red channel is next level. You can heard each and every note with articulation and just a perfect growl. Some of the best high gain tone you will ever hear. Thick, chewy, saturated. Not overly compressed and artificial sounding. Might be the best high gain tone I've ever heard. (The other 2 that I'd compare it to is the Soldano SLO 100 and Friedman BE-100) (own both) Great buffered loop w/ line level vol and nice foot switch w/ boost. You can also remove/bypass the loop via the foot switch. Take some time dialing it in and you will not be disappointed...

The ultimate amp!

I got this model in a trade as I never had a high end amp. This baby has it all from beautiful fender esq cleans to hotted rodded marshall tones, this amp does it all! It's great for recordings and gigs with alot of headroom with the 50/100 watt options. Do yourself a favor and get one if you can!
