Don't listen to people who want k&k minis or whatever they're called, They're Hot garbage compared to the element, anyone that says they hate the way it quacks doesn't play in live settings very often, this thing doesn't bleed, tone is so good... Just had this pickup installed last week and was impressed at home, playing through a small pa. I played an acoustic outdoor gig tonight and wow what a great sounding pickup! It kept the natural sweetness and acoustic "feel" of the guitar sound even at high volume and the volume dial enabled me to adjust volume easily for picking vs strumming.I love it and will be installing an… read more element in my other two gigging acoustics. ps - I also have an LR Baggs mandolin pickup and this too work beautifully - I'm a fan of this company!

Received the LR Baggs Element Active System quickly, as promised. Installation was also quick and easy. The pickup sounds very clear and even across the strings with no audible buzzing or humming. On my very first gig with the new pup installed, the sound guy made it a point to let me know how good my guitar sounded. I don't know how this transaction could have been any better.

Installation was a little tricky, but the included instructions were clear and incredibly helpful. The sound quality is simply amazing, and the pickup is sensitive to the slightest touch when finger picking. It is also dead quiet, zero noise. And free 2 day shipping to Alaska? Yes please.

Based on hearing only once, for an hour or so, In a brand new Gibson J45 Custom. Using same amp as I've used for an SJ200 with a Fishman Under saddle passive transducer. The LR Baggs blows that one out of the water. It sounds like the actual guitar.
