My new mainstay
I've been a DR player for about 24 years now, mostley Lo-Rider Steels, and have been looking for something with similar tone qualities but blossoms faster and plays less stiff on the lower strings in particular. Enter the D'Addario Pro Steel Tapers. Superb design, wonderful tone and fee!
Great Strings!
I have been using Pro Steels since back when they called them Prisms. These string are bright and sound great. I prefer a string that attacks on both ends but maintains some meat and these provide me that. I string my main axes with these....Warwick Streamer $$, Modulus Quantum, and G&L Jazz...all five strings. I feel that they last as long as any other string, and of course… read more how often you restring is normally a matter of personal preference. If you like attack, but also want to maintain some balls in your bass sound, then try these out.
