I knew this thing was going to be nice, but holy cow! I thought I knew what I could expect, but this thing is just SOO MUCH MORE than I thought! All the combinations of tone, pickup versatility, eq and boost fine tuning for both the piezo and the mags…and of course it all sounds incredible! I played it through a cheap practice amp in between teaching lessons and I couldn't get read more a bad sound out of it. I'm completely blown away. Oh, and it plays like a dream, too. Shout out to my boi Stevie G, my sales engineer!! I first came to him about getting a 7-string, and he helped me quite thoroughly and spectacularly weigh out all my options. 14/10

What a amazing guitar! It was in tune straight out of the box. Great play ability beautiful finish. It's expensive but well worth the money! I've been playing guitar for 26 years and I have high expectations but this guitar plays, sounds and looks amazing. Seriously the best guitar I've ever played. If you're thinking about buying one pull the trigger. My pick doesn't do it justice.

Incredible guitar, worth it's price.

I've been wanting a JP 6 since it came out. I just recently got the JP15. I must say that this guitar exceeds my expectations! First off, the finish! The professional photo's Sweetwater take are great but do no justice to this finish. The photo's I took don't do it justice either. This finish can truly be appreciated only in person. It changes color from deep blue to purple read more depending on the light and what angle you are looking at it. Absolutely stunning finish for this guitar. The rest of the guitar is incredible, the wax finish neck, electronics, ergonomics, etc. There are a lot of reviews online about these aspects of the guitar and they all spot on about how amazing this guitar is. Shoutout to Simon Whitehouse who was really awesome during the process. Answered all my questions and was very responsive and knowledgeable. I ordered this item was it was back ordered and not in stock and he remained in contact with me about the availability on this guitar. The ladies and gentlemen I spoke with over the phone at Sweetwater were great! Very polite and friendly and were cool people to talk to. I attached some photos I took with my iPhone 13 under some mediocre lights. Excuse the mess. Cheers!

Awesome Guitar!

I purchased an Ernie Ball Majesty several years ago and it is hard to stop playing that guitar; an awesome high engine machine! So I knew that investing into another Ernie Ball for a seven string would be the answer. WOW, was I correct. The JP15 7 is another high engine machine that growls like lion. This machine plays like with excellent performance delivering a flat fast cyclone read more neck, outstanding bridge, super tight non-slip tuners and a brilliant cerulean blue paradise flame finish that will make any stop to look! Truly a work of art that's going to take you playing to 11!

The JP15

Its a modern fighter jet of a guitar that will do everything. Along with that ability of versatility comes a equal USA made price tag. As you would expect everything on mine was perfect not a sharp fret in tune and set up out of the box. Kudos to Sweetwater techs for doing a excellent job with the 55 point set up. The acoustic resonance of this guitar is jaw dropping even more so read more impressive is the sound when plugged in to a amp. I went with the JP15 for the flamed maple finger board something not available on any of the JP majesty guitars. The super strat design of the JP15 is a little more in my comfort area as a player as well when compared to the wild shape of the majesty. Its awesome that is all i got left to say for this review. Thanks you Justin Kessler he was my sweetwater sales engineer (Time to rock n roll)

It’s amazing

I just got my JP15 7-string in, and all I can say is WOW! I can not give Sweetwater, and my sales rep Jason King enough praise! Much to my surprise Jason had managed to get me a JP model signed by the legend John Petrucci himself!!! With that being said I would like to add that the techs at Sweetwater did a fantastic job with the set up of the guitar as well. To review, I have read more to say that this guitar sounds AMAZING. I was a little worried because I tend to enjoy the sound of active pickups, and I have to admit that I was taking a bit of a risk purchasing a guitar that I had not physically played. I do not regret this decision one bit. This guitar has such a great tone (without any effort), and the Dimarzio pickups sound perfect for my rock/hard rock/metal musical style. What is most impressive however is the feel of this beauty. I typically play LP's, and that goes without saying that this instrument is much lighter than what I am used to. With that being said, I was totally surprised to hear the tonal superiority of this guitar (for what I play). The feel of the neck profile with the finish feels fantastic, and over all this guitar is such a joy to play. I did not have any issues with any blemishes or fretting issues as to be expected with a guitar running over $3,000. I am very pleased with every aspect of this guitar, and can honestly say that I have no regrets. This is undoubtedly an expensive instrument, but certainly worth the money. I wont need any other instrument for a very long time. This instrument was designed with so much thought and detail, and the craftsmanship certainly does it justice. Many thanks to the entire Sweetwater team! You're truly the best.
