The JP15
Its a modern fighter jet of a guitar that will do everything. Along with that ability of versatility comes a equal USA made price tag. As you would expect everything on mine was perfect not a sharp fret in tune and set up out of the box. Kudos to Sweetwater techs for doing a excellent job with the 55 point set up. The acoustic resonance of this guitar is jaw dropping even more so… read more impressive is the sound when plugged in to a amp. I went with the JP15 for the flamed maple finger board something not available on any of the JP majesty guitars. The super strat design of the JP15 is a little more in my comfort area as a player as well when compared to the wild shape of the majesty. Its awesome that is all i got left to say for this review. Thanks you Justin Kessler he was my sweetwater sales engineer (Time to rock n roll)
AMAZING!!! Amazing look, feel, and tone!
I just got my JP15 7-string in, and all I can say is WOW! I can not give Sweetwater, and my sales rep Jason King enough praise! Much to my surprise Jason had managed to get me a JP model signed by the legend John Petrucci himself!!! With that being said I would like to add that the techs at Sweetwater did a fantastic job with the set up of the guitar as well. To review, I have… read more to say that this guitar sounds AMAZING. I was a little worried because I tend to enjoy the sound of active pickups, and I have to admit that I was taking a bit of a risk purchasing a guitar that I had not physically played. I do not regret this decision one bit. This guitar has such a great tone (without any effort), and the Dimarzio pickups sound perfect for my rock/hard rock/metal musical style. What is most impressive however is the feel of this beauty. I typically play LP's, and that goes without saying that this instrument is much lighter than what I am used to. With that being said, I was totally surprised to hear the tonal superiority of this guitar (for what I play). The feel of the neck profile with the finish feels fantastic, and over all this guitar is such a joy to play. I did not have any issues with any blemishes or fretting issues as to be expected with a guitar running over $3,000. I am very pleased with every aspect of this guitar, and can honestly say that I have no regrets. This is undoubtedly an expensive instrument, but certainly worth the money. I wont need any other instrument for a very long time. This instrument was designed with so much thought and detail, and the craftsmanship certainly does it justice. Many thanks to the entire Sweetwater team! You're truly the best.
