I bought this to replace my old GCB-95 Crybaby which I liked. The new EVH is noticeably cleaner and has a more distinct midrange. It's more responsive than the 95 but easy to conform. The low to high is not as extreme as I've seen in other wah pedals but perfect for my taste. Also the LED on light is a useful feature especially playing live. Anyone has played live has at one point… read more wondered what happened to my sound. While staying in beat quickly trouble shooting in your mind, it's nice to have that visual que.

after toying with many crybabys, i kept coming back go this one, its unique, it has more of a high end bite to it , where the mids push through aswell, not a lot of bottom end at all so keep that in mind, however i find this to be the best wah pedal out there, great sweep also, evh just makes incredible products

This wah pedal exceeds my expectations! I love the practical features like the LEDs which indicate when the pedal is On/Off, the short sweep through the frequencies and the ease of activating (on/off) the pedal. Furthermore, the voicing is exactly what I prefer in terms of more mids whereas most other wah pedals can be too trebly in my opinion. The tone is pretty consistent over mid range to top end. Nice sounding in all the heavy solos!

Definitely different with a nice voicing. It's sweep is interesting and once you get accustomed to it, you can get some great tones for leads and funk if that's your sorta thing.
