Awesome for my 5-String

I bought these for my 5-string bass (Squier 70s Classic Vibe). The low B string lost its thrill for me really quick. It was fun to play in the store, so much so that I bought the bass, but the novelty of it wore off fast. So, I thought about getting a pack of strings for a 6-string bass and using the E-A-D-G-C tuning. I checked on talkbass.com and it turns out that guys have already read more been doing this for a while now, and so I decided to give it a try for myself. I'm very glad that I did. These strings are really good. This is the first time that the 1st-fret "F" on the E string actually sounds OK. Every other strings that I've tried, both with nickel and stainless steel, that F sounds like muddy garbage (to me). Now that F sounds like a music note. Before these strings, whenever I played a 4 string, it always felt like I had the "three main strings" (E-A-D) and "that extra string", (G). The G string felt different and didn't really fit with the other strings music-wise. This set has very good string-to-string tone and feel. It feels like all the strings belong together. I had worried a little that the C string would sound guitar-like, but it isn't bad at all. The strings all still sound like bass guitar strings should, based on the notes you are playing. I absolutely recommend these strings. I myself will be buying these strings exclusively from now on, both for my 5-string and the 4-strings.
