Works Great on Short Scale String-Thru body Mustang

These fit my JMJ Mustang bass perfectly and were exactly what I was looking for in a roundwound string for the Mustang bass. Great fundamental note reproduction and the gauge was perfect to get a vintage tone with the tone knob rolled off just a bit. Fit perfect through the body and cleared the nut perfectly.

Thoughtful of D'Addario to manufacture a medium scale string - bassists please measure your scale.Wonderful clear sound, easy to install, helps even a mediocre instrument sound much better.Recommended ... and one of the very few medium scale strings available.

Placed these on a USSR era medium scale Ural 510L bass. Despite the instruments build issues these strings brought out a really nice tone and are easy to manipulate. Measure your scale, then buy the right strings - these.
