I purchased these strings to replace some "dead" Rotosound ones on my Squier J-Bass (Modified with DiMarzio pickups, American CTS pots / Orange drop cap, and string-through bridge mod). The old Rotosounds were the same gauge but stainless steel. While restringing I could immediately notice the "balanced tension" effect. ALL of the strings seem to have the same tension up and down… read more the neck and fretting is practically effortless! The tone...AMAZING! Deep bass but amazing sustain and rich harmonics. I am completely blown away by these- they are crazy good! I have a very good feeling that these are going to quickly become my favorite strings. These are initially way better than any other brand of string I have ever used and I can't say enough about the tone. BUY THESE!
