Exactly what I was looking for
First let me say how great it is dealing with Sweetwater and my sales engineer Alex Jasiak they work hard to figure out what your needs are and find the right product. I wasn't sure this guitar was going to work for exactly what I was looking for and after Alex and I talked about everything I decided to go for it. I play in a couple of different groups, one is a duo acoustic gig… read more and the other is a full band doing everything from Rock to country so I needed something that fit the bill and I wouldn't have to carry a lot of gear to the gig. For the acoustic gigs I can switch between what ever acoustic body sound I want to use, this works great with you have two acoustic players and you don't want to try and figure out how to play it different. haha The electric pickup gets you through about anything you would need to do and you can add pedals to make it kick. Bottom line this is one of the best buys I've made and will probably end up playing it more and more. Let's not forget that you don't have to plug it in to practice, by it's self it's loud enough that the wife doesn't have to close the door on you.... haha
Acoustasonic Telecaster surprise
I purchased the Acoustasonic based on independent reviews saying the guitar sounded like an acoustic guitar. And as advertised it has a great acoustic sound. My surprise was the ease I experienced when playing chords that on other guitars were a bit more trying.
Amazing guitar! Great service!
This guitar is exactly what I hoped it would be. Sounds incredible with an amp; and actually sounds really really good completely unplugged just playing on the couch. The options are great and allow you to have the classic acoustic sound, the classic telecaster electric sound, and multiple choices in between. The guitar is light, easy and fun to play, quality built, and looks amazing… read more (the sunburst is beautiful). Easily the best guitar I've ever owned. Fender has hit a home run! Sweetwater, especially Zach, made the purchasing and delivery process easy, fun, and smooth. Thanks! Bill
Versatility Deluxe
Let's be clear, I am not an electric guitar player. But I work in a band that plays some rock and country, that requires more lead than an acoustic will provide. This guitar is the perfect answer for that. No need for two guitars, flip the switch. The acoustic tones are close to dreadnaught, and the electric tone is close to Tele. I did a lot of research and was still doubtful,… read more but this guitar is quality made and super versatile.
Acoustasonic...Just what you would expect.
If you are looking for a guitar that sounds like an acoustic but plays like and electric this is as close as you are going to get. The telecaster sound is close enough also. This is a neck heavy guitar...I recommend a counter weight on the strap. Even with the counter weight I use, it is still very light and comfortable. I've waited to do a review to get a real since of how this… read more guitar feels, sounds and plays after the new wears off. My J200, D-28, Yari custom and Telecaster haven't been picked up and played since the arrival of the Acoustasonic. Not ready to sell anything but I truly enjoy playing the Acoustasonic.
