Fender bass
I gave a great deal of thought as well as research to buying this bass. I looked into the wood it is made of. The neck wood as well. I compared this to the u.s.a. made bass. I went to the store and picked it up. I played it. I looked it over for months. Yes, this is put together in Mexico but it is every bit a Fender and a good one. This is not a beginner bass. It is just too good… read more for that. I bought the maple neck which is smooth and nice. Sweetwater did a great job of checking everything out before it arrived to me. I have a Gibson les Paul as well as Fender telecaster both being made in the good old u.s.a. I would buy this bass again in a minute. Being put together in Mexico does not make it poorly made. The price is great, the playing is great. as is the feel. Sweetwater is the best.
Is 5 stars the limit?
I've owned the same fender bass for quite some time. When it came to picking a new one, this one stuck out. Admittedly, when I opened it I was a little disappointed it didn't not come with a gig bag. But once I plugged it I , I couldn't have been happier. If they had to sacrifice the case to put more into the bass it was worth it. The neck is super playable and easy to navigate.… read more It's color sparkles like unicorns horn. It growls and thumps like nobody's business. Stop looking at other basses. This ones if.
Great buy!
Taught myself to play drums originally, but decided I wanted to branch out and try to wrap my head around something with strings. This bass is wonderful for a beginner or a seasoned player. The range of sound is amazing (coupled with a Fender Rumble 100), and the look and feel are awesome, too.
IMPRESSIVE!
I am really happy with this bass. I have a USA 50's reissue P bass and this Player Series actually plays better. The neck is absolutely perfect and the satin finish on the back of neck feels like silk. I play through a 1980's Peavey TNT combo amp with a 15" speaker and I can't believe the sound. I might buy the Jazz model next.
Great bass
This bass is fantastic and as always, Sweetwater continues to be the best website to purchase all things music.
