Meh.
I don't share others' enthusiasm for this pedal. It would be more useful if you could control your dry signal alongside the filtered tone. The pedal also REALLY relies on you pumping a strong signal into it. Low output pickups will not get much of an effect going. I get better filter tones (and more control) out of my Zoom modeling pedal. Finally, I ran into quality problems with… read more the input and output jacks. Overall, not worth its price, IMHO.
Another awesome surprise from the wife!
What a groovy little bunny, I awoke to find it in my Easter basket! This thing is awesome, I have no clue why it took so long for me to wish list this. It has quickly earned a permanent place on my pedal board. Crazy to mellow, allowing you to also control the effect with you dynamics! It seemed to not work as well in an effects loop, it sits right after my compressor and EH… read more Bass Mono Synth pedal...(I wouldn't use both at the same time...or maybe that, plus some overdrive and octave with a little reverb at the end). The flexibility and myriad of usable sounds makes this a very well thought out pedal. I prefer it to the very popular and loved MXR model. Playing it with a Godin Fretless A4 and a NS Omni, and I must say, it can really be quite fun when you bow (arco). A side note: Nick Beach is the best! My wife ordered this as a surprise and Nick had it shipped in a naked box that did not say sweetwater anywhere...so when it came, I had no clue what was in said box. That is awesome customer service!
Filter twin pedal
Good pedal - does exactly as advertised. I gave it 4.5 b/c one very minor annoyance- it boosts my volume a little over my other settings/pedals. But overall a good funk sound.
Aguilar twin filter
I tried another auto wah and it was nothing like the video's showed on youtube. Anyway Sweetwater being the awesome people they are told me to send her back. And I went with the Aguilar Filter Twin, it was awesome right off the start I could get an awesome sound from it very quick. Controls were very easy and very sensitive , I won't use it a lot maybe but I am glad its on my board… read more and it's a keeper, I want to thank Ben and the guys at Sweetwater for helping me out they are awesome can't say enough about them. They are a God sent for me. I feel if your not buying from them well you sure are missing out on a blessing, they know sound and equipment.
Funky and Versatile
It takes a little messing around with in order to find the sound you want but it's a great addition to any board.
