A Great Fuzz
I am a big supporter of Analog Alien. I bought one of their pedals and was so impressed with the quality of build and sound that I decided to buy another, and now this one ! I like supporting a company that is run by the designers and builders of their product. They answer emails and the phone, that's what you get when you support a family run business. I emailed them with a question… read more and they were happy to mod one of their pedals for me. Great pedal and a great company. Refreshing to do business with them. I can tell you about the quality and support but the best way to know if you like this pedal is to listen with headphones to some of the YouTube videos of people playing it. Personally, I love it.
Fuzzbubble 45
Fantastic overdrive and fuzz all in one. Talk about taking the pillow off with this!
EXCEPTIONAL!
I"ve been playing for about 40 years, and I can"t recall the last time in my life I have been so IMMEDIATELY-impressed by any guitar-effects pedal. I received the Fuzz Bubble from Sweetwater the day after I ordered it, and it sat on my studio console for a few days until band practice: I wanted to hear it through my stage rig, not my studio monitors. I had researched the Fuzz Bubble… read more pretty well online, but my laptop speakers did not do the demo videos any credit, and after all, OD/Distortion is a very personal and subjective thing. My main amp is a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue, chosen after about 8 years of trial and error: the perfect "clean, rock and roll" sound, but it"s Overdrive is sometimes weak. I use a PRS 12-string electric as my main axe onstage. At practice, I plugged it in the cute little Fuzz Bubble, made some "guess" settings on the controls… and out poured frothy, fizzy, Goodness. I won"t try to describe the sound in clinical terms – but it"s fat, warm, complex, and allowed be to dial-in a real "searing" tone on the Fuzz side. It outperforms all of my (expensive) modeling devices, and every other analog OD/Distortion pedal I have ever used, or own. With my guitar fizzing through this thing, everybody in the band played better!! If that"s not a Recommendation" enough, I"m hard-pressed to do any better. It"s a really nice pedal, a REALLY nice sound, and I instantly fell in love with it.
Be Prepared To Feel Warm & FUZZY
After watching Mike Hermans YouTube video on this pedal, I decided to pull the trigger & buy it. Online videos can be... ya know. The pedal sounds great online, but after you plug it in to YOUR amp, you're left thinking... "WTF". Definitely NOT the case with the Fuzzbubble-45. This pedal became my favorite the moment I plugged it in. Very natural sounding. It sounds like an… read more extension of the amp and not like a pedal at all. Very organic. This thing is a tone machine. I can't praise this pedal enough. High quality build, great sparkly purple finish and again, sounds INCREDIBLE. Sweetwater made the purchase quick and painless. The pedal was packaged as if it was an ancient artifact, was shipped and arrived lightning fast. A+ service. Thank you Sweetwater for a great experience!
Great Pedal!
I don't usually give 5 star reviews but I also don't usually come across pedals that enhance my tone the way the OD side of this pedal does. I play in a modern funky jazz group and I also play in a rock band. Even in the jazz group I always have the OD on, providing a richer harmonic palette even with a clean sound while also allowing some nice break-up when I dig in on single… read more notes or chords. In the rock band I increase the output and overdrive a bit. I like that it works well with my Gibson or Godin guitar in the jazz group and equally as well with my Strat in the rock band. The fuzz side of the pedal is great for soloing, slide guitar, or even as a second overdrive with the fuzz backed down. As with the overdrive circuit, the fuzz still lets the personality of your guitar and amp come through. Any musician who's worked to develop a sound doesn't want to lose it when switching on a pedal. And thats another thing I like about the FB45, it really enhances the sound of the guitar and amp I'm working with. I highly recommend the FB45!
