Great Amp!
Been playing it for a few months now. Defenitly a nice tight sounding amp. Works well with drop tunings and 7, 8 string guitars. Only thing I wish it would have is just a tad bit more gain. Great for rythym playing and heavy riffing but when it comes to lead, it could use a little more saturation. Nothing an overdrive cant fix. Amp works very well with pedals. Seems to be well built… read more and I dont get a bunch of "fuzz" or "static noise" when I have a pedal in front of it. Also love the two note technology. Works well with getting a more dialed in sound. Overall great amp. It is louder than you would expect. When I practice, I usually have it set on the 4W option. Then 20W when no one is home. No regrets at all. Someday I'd like to get the 120 generator.
Affordable top notch high gain tube amp
This is the first tube amp that I've owned but I will say it is a huge improvement in tone over my Marshall MG100HDFX. The clean channel sounds great and takes pedals great and the effects loop works very well and is buffered so it negates the darkening of your signal. I have bought a G4 and G3 pedal (the quality of these pedals is what inspired me to pick this amp up) and the distortion… read more channel is on par with the G3 I would definitely suggest picking up a Revv G8 noise gate if you use the distortion channel alot it works great through the effects loop on the G20. I plan on picking up a PC and using the built-in Two Notes soon but haven't used any of that yet. Overall I think this is a great option to look into for a affordable high gain tube amp that has the capability of being a very useful recording tool as well. Revv doesn't disappoint with the G20! Oh and the purple paintjob is very cool too it definitely gives it a unique look that compliments its blue lights and killer tone!
Best amplifier
This little monster is a great deal, the real deal! Very good clean and amazing distortion channel. The 3 aggression modes make all difference in gain and tone, the blue aggression mode is my favorite: super heavy and defined. I use a overdrive in front for some extra options (extra chug!!!) but the amplifier has plenty of gain (a little less than the REVV G3 pedal). I have not… read more yet recorded using the REVV G20, but I have already tested his connectivity and firmware updated without any problem.
WOW! What else can I say?
I have been playing guitar for 35 years and I have never been so completely satisfied with amplifier as I am with the REVV G20P. I do a lot of writing and recording and this is a one-stop shop for creating every tone that you could possibly want in an easy to use format. Pairing the Two Notes software and load box with this crushing amp is nothing short of genius. Utilizing it… read more with my Helix for effects and MIDI channel switching is truly sublime. This is THE ONE!
A fantastic, feature-filled, purple, tone machine
First off, the amp itself sounds fantastic. I am a big fan of 6V6 tube amps, and the fact that this amp has them is one of the major facets that caught my eye. The clean channel works so well with my pedals—it reminds me of my Princeton Reverb in that regard. So it's a great platform on the clean channel. The gain channels are also superb; I can get everything from rock to modern… read more metal tones here. The built in Two Notes is really the icing on the cake. The software is easy to use and the sounds are top shelf. What else can one say. Aesthetically, in my opinion, it's a better looking amp in purple. My wife even complimented it looks...I personally call that a bonus!
