Great tube sound and feel for this price?!?! YES!!

I was so terribly tired of the sterile sound from solid state amps, and I didn't want super powered tube amps, so I settled on this absolute gem. The cleans on the Bugera amps in general can rival the big "F". The OD channel is plentiful and smooth. I push the tubes with my DOD 250 OD, and the amp sings. Sustain for weeks. I have a set of JJ's to upgrade, but I'm not entirely sure read more I want to. I'm really liking the sound I'm getting now. The Morph EQ is an interesting function because you can get an American sound or a British sound with just a turn of said knob. I'm looking forward to pushing a 4x12 cab with this head soon. Sweetwater was great as always.

Great tone, budget amplifier

A great way to get into tube amps, it's budget-friendly, has some really nice features, and great tone. It lacks a little for high gain tone, but with an overdrive, or distortion pedal to get really gainy tones. Still, the overdrive channel has enough gain for most people, and the clean channel is superb, especially when paired with the built-in reverb.

I originally posted my review back in 2018 when I first got it and my rating stays the same, 5 out of 5 star product! ...Im writing a 2nd review as a 2 year update to let everyone know that my Bugera G20 is still running just as good as the day I got it! Bugera really makes a quality product. I have a newfound appreciation for this head because I recently bought an EVH 5150 III read more because I wanted a genuine high gain amp and more power (50 watts) at least I thought I wanted more power, and although the 5150 III delivered in the high gain department the actual head itself was built SUPER CHEAP and 50 watts was just way too loud. I have no idea why people all over the internet swear by that head, I was expecting to be blown away but I wasn't, I was more excited when I got my Bugera. Yes the EVH sounded good, it had brutal amounts of gain but the super cheap control knobs made it very hard to use so back it went. Now Im back using the head I know and love and now I realize that 20 watts is plenty for me. And Im utterly shocked that a head... has superior build quality to the EVH 5150 III...what??? I'll never try another EVH product again. In my first review I said that this head has enough gain for Metal, I was a little excited, it does not. But dont let that scare you away! Ive been running a Metal Muff Nano distortion pedal through the FX Loop since I got this head and it sounds just as good as the EVH 5150 III that I had for a little while. This head on its own is great for any genre of rock but if you want to do Metal you need a distortion pedal in the FX Loop. ...I would just go for the Marshall DSL 20... that thing has enough gain for Metal. Dont know if its going to have the same build quality as the Bugera G20 tho

Bugera G20 Infinium 20

Received this amp about a week ago, has the sounds I was looking for, fairly small and unobtrusive easy to tote.I really like the morph setting, and I expect the more I play with it the better it can be fine tuned. As always Mr. Mason Moss did his part and the amp arrived 4 days after purchase, Thanks again Mason. Allen
