The perfect quiet amp
Unlike a lot of cheaper low-power amp heads, this one actually sounds like a real guitar amp, with a really satisfying and glorious distortion breakup despite the low volume. You can run it at .1W and the distortion still sounds awesome. It does sound a little better when you switch it to 5W, and it gets surprisingly loud for how low-power it is. But you can run it at the lowest… read more setting and just totally rock out without waking up your roommate.
Big sound in low watts
Put an overdrive in the loop and this thing CHUGS! Took a while to get it ordered and shipped due to high demand but, well worth the wait. Thank you Sweetwater.
Good little bedroom and recording amp
Happy with this little amp... Using for home recording. Wanted to scale down from 100 watt head... Rolled the dice and am pleased that I did.
Bugera to the bone
I watched Mitch demo this amp wow sounded great he did a great job on this demo. I talked to will new bill and I'm ordering on Thursday can't wait to get it. Then I will write another review. But I just want to Mitch for the great demo. He made me want one pretty bad. Thank you sweetwater for being the best in the business. Your awesome.
Great Practice/Recording Amp
I"ve been through quite a few amps in my lifetime. I was looking for a reasonably priced practice amp. After watching Mitch"s demo of this amp I knew I had to try one. I"ve had this amp for almost 2 years now. I replaced the tubes with NOS American tubes and purchased the 1x 12" matching speaker. The clean channel is just OK, and begins to break up after 3 o"clock. It only has a… read more tone control but can get some nice distortion for cleaner sounds. I have a couple of GWS speakers that I"m going to try and swap out to see if there"s any improvement in the sound. The gain channel is very nice and the EQ is flexible. I"m not a fan of the reverb, but if kept low it"s acceptable. I haven"t used the direct outs yet so I"m not sure how the cabinet emulation sounds. I use a delay in the FX loop and it works well. The built in attenuator is a plus. I usually run it on the 1 watt during the day time and .1 watt at night. All in all, I"m very pleased with this amp & for recording it gives me the higher gain tones that my Fender 5e3 simply cannot achieve.
