I did a ton of research before i finally pulled the trigger on this amp. I wanted something with 6L6, and high gain, let me tell you, this is some HIGH GAIN! Its clear, defined, and you can sculpt your tone however you want with the multiple switches to alter the sound. This amp is extremely versatile as well, I play everything from rock, metal, blues, jazz, and this thing literally read more has done it all! I have absolutely no complaints so far! I have mine hooked up to a 1960 lead 4 by 12, and it is more then i need or could ever need. This thing is just SIIICCCKKKKKK

This is the first nice amp I've ever owned, but I've stood next to nice amps many times that other people owned. This amp sounds amazing- all three channels in every combination of sculpting buttons. For the money it shouldn't be surprising but I was still prepared for it to comeup short somehow. The clean channel is very clear and takes reverbs, delays amazingly. It also does well read more with overdrives. It reminds me of a jc 120 I owned its very HI-FI which I love. The second channel is very classic rock but somehow still has some grit in common with the red so they fit together nicely. With a boost the green channel has been a nice lead channel for me- it's not high gain but it's plenty for everything except shredding. The red channel is awesome of course. With the gain up it's very juicy and thick and saturated. With the gain down and a boost in front it's more percussive and focused. I've got it somewhere between a 5150 and a rectifier. The differences in my various overdrives comes through very clearly. The sculpting button are great as well- I can go from a bright slightly scooped rhythm tone to a darker fat mid rich lead tone without touching the eq knobs. The noise gate is excellent, the reverb is decent, the fx loop works fine. I use it mostly in 10watt mode and it sounds amazing still. Having two master volumes that are foot switchable is awesome too. I can set one quiet for practice and one louder for recording. Of course there is the two notes captor and software- I haven't needed to do silent recording but having that available is amazing. It felt weird to spend so much but I do not regret it- I feel confident the amp will be a worthwhile investment for many years!

This amp is absolutely worthy of all the hype. This is the first amp that I own that does not require a boost to sound amazing, although it does sound great with one. I love the fact that I never need to go past 6 on the gain because there is so much on tap. The Two Notes out makes recording super easy and helps you capture new tones with the extra IR's, etc. If you have been considering read more this amp do not hesitate anymore you will not be disappointed.
