Great Guitar!

John

I just got my Gretsch Streamliner in Phantom Metallic and it is fantastic. First of all, the color is so much nicer than I even thought it would be. What a beautiful guitar. I have been playing guitar for well over thirty years and have always loved Gretsch. I had one many years ago and foolishly, sold it. This one is even nicer than the hollow-body I had in Gretsch Orange. I first read more played a 60's Chet Atkins and knew Gretsch was what I had to have. Thanks to Josh from Sweetwater, I was able to make a good decision and get the model and color I really love. Sweetwater has been a great company to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Left Handed Gretsch Streamliner

I have 15 guitars, many of which are premium. This guitar is put together as well as any of them. The fit and finish is perfect. It has become my current favourite as it just feels right. The tone is articulate and flexible, unlike traditional Gretsch sounds where are distinctive. Highly recommended as an all around guitar. I commonly play rock/funk/pop.

Gretsch G2622 Streamliner

I am primarily a keyboard player but have always enjoyed playing guitar as an added hobby. I'm no expert but have been playing rhythm guitar for a long time. This is my first purchase of a new guitar and was looking for something versatile to use on stage that was easy to play and had minimal feedback when running through our system. After looking at many options and reviews, read more I settled on the 2622 Streamliner. It lives up to every review I have read. It's light, easy to play and absolutely stunning in it's quality and finish! I originally was hoping for a mahogany finish but it was not available at the time. I settled for the Single Barrel finish and was so happy I did. The pictures do not do justice to the beautiful grain and finish, everyone who sees it is blown away. I also like the neck size as I have slightly smaller hands and it fits well for me. The pickups are fine for me - I can get some very sweet tones that are great for country, rock and blues!! I updated the control knobs to the silver Gretsch knobs and it looks much better - that's a suggestion I've seen from others. I may at some point update the machine heads but for now, they seem fine and hold tune well. Out of the box, the setup was very good - slight bridge adjustment and it's perfect. Bottom line - for the price, I believe the Streamliner series can't be beat!

Amazing Guitar

I bought this Gretsch 2622 streamliner from Blake Rice at Sweetwater and I couldn't be more happy! Every once in a while, you pick up a guitar that immediately feels like an extension of your body; this is that guitar! It plays so easy and sounds great through both solid state and tubed amps. The quality and construction on this guitar is excellent. The binding looks amazing around read more the edges with zero flaws. The wood is beautiful and the lacquer has zero drips or flaws. Over seas produced guitars have really come a long way in the last 20 years. The electronics are quiet with zero hum. Pots are very smooth and the humbuckers have a wide range of tones. This has instantly become my favorite guitar! Blake Rice and the team at Sweetwater provide unparalleled service. Communication is prompt and often. I love getting photos of my guitars before it ships. The 55 point inspection is GREAT! The guitar comes ready to play out of the box. It even remained in tune, which is amazing. The service keeps me coming back!

Gretsch is Great

I bought this guitar because I wanted to play blues on an electric guitar. I did not have a lot of money to invest in purchasing an electric. So I did my research on the Internet and found that this model had two cutaways which I thought would look great. I also listened to the sound of about ten different guitars. I decided this guitar sounded rather mellow on one review while read more sounding like a rock guitar on another. So I got the best of both sounds for the money. With my amp I can produce a large variety of guitar sounds--everything from classic country guitar to modern rock. The guitar neck makes soloing a breeze.

What a Beauty

This is a fantastic guitar. I have always wanted a semi hollow body and this has a warm sound. The volume control on the different pick ups really lets you dial in a different sound. It looks great and sounds better. I play a lot of post rock and modern rock and it is super versatile. I can't believe how affordable this is.

I puchased the 2622 in Walnut Stain in December. It is beautiful. It arrived earlier than predicted, triple boxed with thick padding. It had a big label, Do Not Open box for 24 hours, extreme atmosphere change my crack the finish. That was a toughie but I let it sit for 24 hours. It was totally in tune except the b string was a little sharp on the intone. Easy fix. I will read more definitely buy from Sweetwater again.

I bought this awhile back, just because I had a GAS attack. I wasn't expecting a lot for $... but I couldn't have beenmore wrong. Extremely comfortable to hold, very nice humbuckers, beautiful fit and finish...and most of all...the tuners are the best I've ever found on a guitar at the price. Smooth and accurate. Impressive. Gretsch did a great job on the G2622.

I'm only a so-so musician - the joke in my house is I have one guitar for every chord I know. (It takes me an hour and a half to get through "Heart of Gold.") But I'm really liking this guitar. Feels good, sounds good - and it's frigging gorgeous! I'm darn glad I bought it. And I have to add that I'm really impressed with Sweetwater. Customer service follow up was excellent, read more the guitar was very carefully packed - clearly by people who know how to take care of a guitar. I wanted to bypass the "usual suspects" when I bought this, and I'm very glad I did. I've got a cart filled and ready to go, um, once I pay down the card I put the guitar on a little...

Sweetwater never lets me down. This guitar is perfect right out of the box. I was chomping at the bit to plug it in when it arrived but my wife was still in bed so I had to wait. But, other than that, it's been a joy to have this new toy in this strange time in our history. I tell other musicians all the time how great Sweetwater truly is. Great service and great products. Keep read more up the good work!
