Incredible Quality. Period.

A lot of Gretsch reviews, especially for Streamliners, talk about their great quality but tack on the caveat "for the money". I'm going to go ahead and say that does a disservice to the products this company puts out. My 2622T came perfectly set up out of the box with beautiful fretwork (better than on some American Fenders I've seen in stores), plays beautifully and sounds amazing. read more The Broad'Tron pickups may be closer to standard humbuckers than Filter'Trons but they still have excellent tone and clarity. Light weight and beautiful finish. The only thing that could be better is the input jack is a little loose so I have to loop the cord through my strap to ensure it stays put (but I do that anyway!)

Great Guitar

I really like this guitar. I took a step away from playing guitar and played bass for a few years. This was exactly what I wanted to get back into playing guitar. The neck is very playable, and the pickups sound great with that signature gretsch sound. The color is beautiful, and I keep getting compliments on how it looks and sounds. Do yourself a favor and pick up this guitar if read more you want a semi-hollow in this price range.

Gretsch G2622T - my new favorite guitar

I really didn't plan on buying another guitar when I went down to Sweetwater. I decided to try this one as I had never played a hollow body guitar before. Instantly realized it was the best playing guitar I ever picked up, it felt perfect. And the tone just never ends. Now, it is the first guitar I reach for.

Love, Love, Love

I have always been interested in hollow/semi-hollow electric guitars but have been hesitant because I never felt the look of these fit my style when I was younger. Now that I'm older, I appreciate many things about the look of this guitar; the chrome hardware such as the Bigsby, the whammy bar, and the pickups are my favorite. I'm so glad I ordered this one because I love strumming read more and playing without plugging it in. I play along to small Bluetooth speakers in my office and have a blast and it's much quieter than my acoustic guitar...but still gives me a legitimate sound, unlike playing a regular electric guitar unplugged.

Bigsby tuning issue

Overall the guitar sounds great but I did make modifications to correct the tuning issues. I obtained a roller bridge for this guitar... and installed it, Lightly sanded the "Nut" groves and installed a "Tuning Stabilizer" from "bricksbiggsfix" to lessen the string angle from the Bigsby roller to the bridge. I no longer have a tuning issue with this guitar and everything works and read more sounds great. I'm very pleased with my selection.

Nice Guitar

This was a gift, and it is an amazing guitar. The fit and finish are tremendous, the sound is fantastic. I am still learning the different settings and am gobsmacked by the versatility of this instrument. The fretboard is fast and clean. Tuning pegs are sweet, and not loose at all. I can't say enough about this guitar or Sweetwater. (Thanks Bob!)

Love This Guitar!

Purchased this guitar to get my feet wet with a semi-hollow body. I"ve played other brands but they never sounded right to my ears. Took a shot on this one based on Gretsch"s reputation and the Riviera Blue finish. Now that I"ve had it a couple of months and played a few gigs with it, it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Out of the box, the fit and finish on this guitar was read more flawless. The finish and binding was even better in person and the large rectangular fret markers look great. The frets are level, no sharp edges, no dead frets. It can handle all the clean and overdriven tones you could want including classic rock. At live venue volumes I was able to drive it pretty hard before starting to get uncontrollable feedback (layering overdrive & fuzz), very versatile if you need to cover a lot of bases. That said, if you"re looking for highly distorted metal tones or looking to dive bomb, this guitar isn"t the one for you (but you probably know that already). Sweetwater provides great customer assistance and at this price, you can"t go wrong.
