No More Tone Loss

I had never actually sat down and thought about how much cable there was between my guitar and my amp before, but it really adds up! A couple of 18ft cables, plus all the patch cables on a 10-pedal board, and I'm close to 35 feet of cable run between the two. I know a quality buffer is a difference maker in having the a good sound, but I didn't realize how BIG of a difference it read more would make. There's no more 'mud' in my sound. A couple of other reviews describe it as taking the blanket off your amp and I couldn't agree more! Not only is the sound quality improved, but the volume difference between my active and passive PUPs is virtually gone. I love the tuner out so I have an always on tuner in my chain, and the boost option is handy for when I need a particular part to cut through the mix. The pedal is slightly taller than the others around it, but since it lives on the top right of my board it's not a big deal at all. Overall, you can't go wrong with the High-Wire!

This changes everything

I run my '62 Tele and "62 Strat re-issue guitars thru my pedal board that includes a Keely compressor, BB distortion, MXR Stereo chorus, and two TC Electronics delay (various combinations at various times). Playing live, I run a 15' cable to the amp. I was losing massive amounts of volume when switching to the Strat which has "vintage" pickups. The Mesa/Boogie High-wire dual read more buffer changed all that. My signal has no volume loss at all. As advertised, it's like plugging directly into the amp. The best pedal investment I ever made. Simply a must have if you run thru pedals and longer cables. Get the dual buffer (in and out) - it is well worth the cost. The extra boost features are excellent. You won't realize how much signal loss you are experiencing until you hear the difference. Make sure you are using high quality lower resistant cable as well. I use Mogami throughout - pedal connections with Mogami wire with sp 500 plugs, and Mogami cables for guitar to board and board to amp. Well worth the cost. Anything less is killing tone and volume.

TONE SAVER MIRACLE!

Dual input/output buffer is the way to go and this little unit is a TONE SAVING MIRACLE!!! Maybe the best $... I ever spent. It wasn't until I unplugged my guitar from my pedalboard and straight into my amp that I realized that I was missing something, or rather that my pedalboard was sucking my tone. Long story short is that instead of investing in a swticher/looper, and overpriced read more cables, I decided to give this Mesa/Boogie High-Wire a try and I could not be happier. I am now getting the plugged straight into the amp tone while running through my pedalboard and my pedals sound better as well. The dual input/output buffer here is brilliant and breathes new life into my signal. I did find that my fuzz and my CryBaby Wah sounded better outside of this buffered loop so I am running my guitar into my fuzz and wah and then into the High-Wire and then running the rest of my pedals (overdrives, modulations, delay, reverb, etc) through the Hire-Wire Send and Return. The boost is an added bonus too! If you are looking for a buffer for your pedalboard I would highly recommend this one. I could not be more pleased with it. It is a massive tonal upgrade for me and makes my whole rig sound its very best. I will never run a pedalboard without one now that I know what magic this does!

I got a 10 pedals in a row. I got a Boss Power Stack which is so noisy when you put it in to the Pedalboard. When I put this Mesa Boogie High Wire, The sound makes it brighter. And the noise, the hums disappear. It's perfect to my Pedalboard. I highly recommend this product to any Pedalboard
