Great Bass

I've had 78 bass's in my life and there's nothing like nordstrands, and the big splits have a beautiful bite to them, even passive, I may like these passive the most, fantastic preamp, mid sweep as well. Mine is 6 pounds 14 ounce and the neck is fabulous also. I'd definitely buy it again and it kills in every way honestly

Junk

I returned the first one because the neck had a slight wave to it, and while fixable I was not into spending more money on it since this is not exactly a cheap instrument. The second one the neck was ok, and I did like the sound of it. One thing that initially concerned me were two things: 1. To get the intonation right I had to move the saddles almost to the end of their travel read more 2. The fret edges were very sharp. I decided at that time that it was livable. The bass was very light and nice to play. Unfortunately 3 months later the fretboard developed cracks in it. I do not recommend this instrument.

Perfect bass for me!

5 Star rating on this bass! I do a house gig in Las Vegas standing on the right side of a drum shield and this bass not having a headstock is perfect to keep from hitting it all the time. Bass is a little over 7 pounds, half the weight of my 14 pound TRB Yamaha I have played for years, my shoulder thanks me! Bass sounds wonderful in passive mode but the active read more mode with the sweepable mids makes the bass sit right in the mix or move to a more featured tone with just the turn of a knob. Great bass for a great price!
