Just what I was looking for
Being a beginner guitar player I wanted to try my hands at the Bass just for something that would give me a different routine from practicing only the 6 string. This bass is a short scale which is almost the same length as my electric guitars and it is also way lighter than my electric guitars. I have it paired with a Fender Rumble 15 Bass amp. and to me, it sounds good enough.… read more If I was a seasoned Bass player or someone whose main interest is the bass guitar I would probably get something more expensive because my knowledge of Bass guitars would be better. However, I'm totally satisfied with this set up because it serves the purpose that I got it for.
Thank you!!!
Thank you for sending me this item with a robust packaging service; The large bubble wrap within the outer box, was enough to endure the long distance transportation. Because my sales manager, Colton Kreuzer gave me quick and detailed explanations, I can say I'm satisfied with my product as well as Sweetwater's service.Thank you Sweetwater!!!
Mighty bass disguised as a micro bass
I recently purchased my Ibanez Mikro from Sweetwater. David Hoffman was my sales engineer and he was very helpful especially in making sure I received the lightest one in the warehouse. Because of SW's in depth inspection before shipment, my bass arrived double packed and in perfect condition. The Mikro is a phenomenal bass that's one of the pro's best kept secrets. While it's… read more passive, with the right amp you can get a J bass, P bass, or MM bass tone out of it. It takes some practice balancing between the J and P pickups. I found dialing back the P bass pickup and leaving the J on full I get a growly MM style sound. The bass is compact, light, and very well built. The fretwork and neck are perfection. If you are just starting out, or an old pro like me, this is a good bass to have in your collection. It's light, very transportable, and outperforms basses twice its price. Highly recommended! Also 5 stars to David Hoffman and Sweetwater! Where I do all my music shopping.
Ibanez miKros GSRM20: Fine little bass!
The fit & finish of this lightweight bass is far better than expected, given its price point -- but that's also been my positive experience with other instruments made in Indonesia. Plus it's very playable for smaller hands like mine, especially with its short scale and narrow neck. There was no fret buzz and the the fret wires seemed well fitted to the neck. Setup and quality seemed… read more fine right out of the box. This little gem is good enough for more than beginners or home recording. I've played it in our live streaming church services and for an out-of-town conference recently, with no problems. You can buy a nicer bass, but none at this price. NOTE: Its 39-inch length and 11-inch width is somewhat unusual for a bass, but about the same as a typical solid-body electric guitar. So I found that an electric guitar gig bag would carry it just right.
Ibanez miKro L-handed
This the second Ibanez bass guitar that bought this year. This bass is miKro to say the least but fun to play. I could believe for being on the short side how big of a sound you get. I was without a doubt impressed.
