The feel of a fine crafted instrument

I have a weakness for good bass guitars. I"ve bought several bass guitars from Sweetwater and my sales engineer Khaleed Matmati works with me so I feel I"m always getting what I"m looking for with the most amazing customer service I"ve ever worked with. The natural good looks and feel of the SR5005 Oil is very special. First of all, when you strap it on you feel the heft of a fine, solid low end machine with endless sound combinations. Either passive or active, this beautiful bass with its extremely playable neck and 5 strings of ringing sustain may turn me into a 5 string believer.

A work of Art!!!

If you like the feel of the SR Basses you owe to yourself to get the top of the line from them. This is a true work of art. The details in it are stunning! The feel of this natural wood is out of this world you must experience this thing in your hands. Even the smell of these woods have a therapeutic effect. Especially if mahogany is your type of wood tone you are looking for.… read more It is heavier than my SR605 which I loved, but hands down this one takes it up 100X. I have been playing more hours on this one than in the 605 I had. I just can't keep my hands of from it. I have owned it for about 6 months now and have put more hours playing it than with any other bass. It is just an experience to be had. I had left my tuner at the place I gig and didn't miss it for a couple of months. It holds tuning for almost ever... LOL... Joe James at Sweet water was a professional at finishing up the details on this order and Synchrony with that 0% APR for 36 months made it all possible. I am telling you I am making the payments to this thing with a smile on my face every month. It just does not hurt at all to make payments on this thing.

Best bass I've owned!!!

I purchased this SR5005 after looking and reading various reviews about the Prestige line. First off the pictures doesn't do these basses justice because the Wenge is beautiful. The tone and feel of this instrument blows me away and beat out basses I've owned that was 2-3 times the cost. I've had people after shows come up to me raving on the sound of this bass.
