My favorite bass!!

Sweetwater Customer

This bass is incredible! That tone, somewhere between a P bass and an upright...amazing! Mwah all over the neck. This bass arrived set up perfectly and the playability is really off the charts. It is also very light, so I can play it comfortably for hours. Very happy with my purchase, and with Sweetwater!!!

Just what I was after!

I love this bass, I was seeking a specific tone and finally found it right here! Enough said, just read the reviews, watch some video of it being played. If you're like me, you will have a hard time putting it down. Arrived setup beautifully. A keeper no doubt.

Great for those who hate solid body heavy weights!

Very satisfied with the bass. I bought this from guitar Center at this price so it disturbs me that SW is showing an MSRP price claiming ur saving money.

High-end bass feel

I own some high-end basses but the last 2 under $800 Ibanez basses I've purchased have been excellent. The designer's at Ibanez hit a home run with the SRH505F. The chambered body (about 7.5 lbs) and thin neck make this bass very comfortable to play. The tone is close to an upright bass, This is my first experience playing with Elixir strings. I really love the smooth nanoweb read more coating. I will use this bass to play in my jazz band. I look forward with trying it with my rock band.

Best bang for the buck

Just lovely! The fit and finish especially at this price point is very good. The tone is spectacular. The neck and playability is very impressive. The piezo is perfect. It's hard to find things wrong with it. The tuners are so-so and the nut should be better than the plastic that it is. There is a bit of a sloppy hole that the output jack fits in to but it does not show. I actually read more restrung this to run high C to E and put a hip shot on the E to drop it down to C. Very little adjusting it was ready to go. Very impressed overall.
