I've been playing guitar and taking lessons for two years now. During this time I play Les Paul's (Eastman SB59 w/SD 59's and Eastman SB56 w/P90's) through a Boss Katana MKII 100 (amazing value and versatility). The Imperial MKII blew me away. I expected it to sound considerably better than the Katana, and in fact sound quality is on another level, but I did not expect such a… read more difference in dynamics and pick response. So cool when playing lead. Rhythm channel clean is just beautiful, add a little volume and tone is perfect for Led Zeppelin. Also loving the lead channel distortion, think early ZZ top. Can't wait to add pedals, but for now I'm in heaven with the amp only tones. Thanks to Ed Nystrom, appreciate the advice and support. Ordered this amp and matching cabinet on Friday, it was at my door on Monday. Excellent service!
