The Tone

I had used several different Wah pedals in the last 35 years of playing. The Hendrix Wah has the best tone/sound. It hits the early Wah sound that I like. There isn't any hissing noise either. If you like the sound of the early Robin Trower wah....this is it too. Try it, and I think you will agree with me.

Belated Father’s Day present

Ordered this for my son. He has a new peddle board. This is his favorite Wah peddle. Went to Gearfest 2019 didn"t stay as long as I should have as we were leaving we saw doome of our friends just Getty there. I did pick up a great buy on a 21" Zildjain SweetRide Custom K in the open box tent. Got my eyes on a set of Zildjain SweetRide Custom K 15" Hi Hats open box set. And oland read more SPD-SX Special Edition Sampling Percussion Pad in the future. Thanks for another great time at Gearfest.

A Pretty Smooth Wah with a Cool Edge to it.

For starters this pedal is great for players who love to play in the heel back position which has quite a deep wow vocal type of range and pretty throaty on the mids as well. With that being said you have to push it down quite a bit to get some aggression out of it far as solos go. It's no wonder that Zakk Wylde used this wah more of a treble boost staying within the toe down position read more and that's coming straight from the horse's mouth.Like all my other wahs I beef them up with a booster pedal to make my solos sing and whale a lot more especially when playing hard rock and heavy metal. Plus I couldn't really tell you if this wah really sounds like Hendrix probably not I usually jam to my own tunes anyway.

Hendrix Wah Pedal

Pedal seems to be sell constructed, with a heavy base and good quality hardware throughout. It should hold up to stage use very well, unless you are indifferent to caring for your equipment. Sonically, the pedal has (to me) a very wide sweep, with low tones reaching into a kind of almost unintelligible rumble, and highest tones very sharp and piercing. There is a significant read more signal level boost from the unit. I don't see this pedal as a really straightforward "plug and play"--there is a learning curve in order to get what you want from it, but then that is what the art and craft of music is all about. The important thing is that the unit is likely to please most folks by providing access to sounds that they might be looking for. It is up to the player to pull them out. Does the pedal recreate Jimi's pedal? There are too many signal path variables and artist expression variables involved for me to answer that one. That being said, I suspect that one can get close to emulation if that is what you are looking for and willing to work on it. I am quite happy with the unit, and glad that I bought it.

Very Useable Wah

I've owned several wah's over the years, but this is the only one for the past 5 or so for a reason. I'm not a huge wah guy, I may only use it on a few songs a night, but what I really like about this one so much is the lack of harshness. IT's a much more forgiving wah than any I had previously owned. None of those ear-piercing screeches that you have to be careful to work around read more on many others. Still a great range, but very mellow and exceptionally useable. Love it.
