I have a classical made for me 20+ years ago and it had a Baggs system installed. Never worked well and I gave up deciding to use it acoustic only. But wanting to resurrect it I gave into the classical Lyric which was simple to install and and sounds great. I highly recommend it!

This pickup is installed on a Cordoba C10, and it sound fantastic. I run it through an LR Baggs Session DI, to an acoustic amp. No problems with this pickup, and no feedback. It really sounds fabulous. When I bought my classical guitar, I had Sweetwater install this pickup. The Sweetwater tech person did a fantastic job with the install. I'm very happy that I purchased this particular read more pickup, and very happy that I had Sweetwater install it.

I considered various means of amplifying my nylon string guitar. I was afraid nothing would meet my needs. Finally decided to gamble on the Baggs Lyric. No regrets. It makes my guitar sound like my guitar, only louder and a little richer. Very easy install if you're confident about enlarging the endpin hole. One mod I made was to install another strap button about 1/2 " from the read more Baggs strap button/input making sure the screw hits the endpin jack. This allows you to do whatever you want with the strap without unplugging. Also eliminates any chance of the strap slipping off the Baggs strap button and putting the weight of the guitar on the 1/4" plug. All in all very pleased with this purchase

Great natural sound -minimally invasive installation

I installed the pickup on my Cordoba LTD45 classical guitar. I am very pleased with the sound of the pickup. I feel that it gives me the sound of a Shure Super55 hypercardiod mic on a boom stand without the hassle. To be able to simply plug the guitar into an amp or PA is incredibly freeing. Just as an FYI, I use an Acoustic Image Coda R amp. About the pickup (mic): 1. It has read more a very natural sound. I needed it for moderately low volume applications wherein the guitar just needed a bit more volume and wanted something that preserved the natural guitar sound. I'm very pleased with the sound of the mic. 2. It was easy to install. I only had to drill a single 1/2 hole where the strap button would normally be. I started with a very small bit and gradually worked my way up to half inch. I see that Luther's have a graduated size boring bit this purpose. My arms were a bit too large to get into the soundhole but my wife was able to put the preamp/endpin/jack through the hole easily. L.R. Baggs includes a small plastic rod that you use to push through the hole from the outside to assist with installing preamp/jack. 3. The Cordoba LTD 45 has Torres style fanned bracing which required me to turn the mic sideways. It still sounds great. I installed it on the treble side of the center brace as recommended in the LR Baggs literature. A couple of caveats. 1. The pickup only has a volume control. Those wanting more flexibility might consider a Fishman. 2. I have not played the pickup in a loud environment yet and am not sure how not will do with a full band. However, as a test, I cranked it up pretty loud through an amp and it will probably be okay. You might want to use a rubber soundhole cover. It is great for my guitar/flute duet in which the flute is often dominant. In closing, for anyone seeking a simple, internal pickup that preserves the natural sound of the guitar without having to cut a hole in the side of the guitar or risk affecting the intonation by removing the saddle, this pickup is perfect. I bought a second one for my Takemine 132s classical guitar.
