Great strings

Kevin

I have been using these Pressurewound strings for years, they are on my fretted and fretless basses. I do like the sound of flatwounds for some things on fretless, but it is difficult to get flats to "sing". These strings can sing more like a round wound when needed and they eliminate some finger caused string noise as well. While not quite as bright as roundwounds but they have read more a good bit more treble than flats. You can get a good flat sound with your tone control when desired. These are easier on the fretboard and frets too.

Great tone, easy playability

Strung up my Nordy vP4 with these strings for BEAD tuning. Between the Alloy 52 these strings are made with and the Alnico V my pickups are made out of, I get a strong consistent tone that would be great for any kind of genre of music. Great customer service as always from Sweetwater. They were in contact the whole time throughout the ordering process and my strings arrived 2 days read more after ordering.

Perfect for me

Flats were too smooth and rounds were too twangy for me. These pressurewounds sit in just the right place tonally. I have them on a Musicman Stingray 5HH and can get some bite when I need it but can still get a round tone that is manageable. Finger noise is not as pronounced as with rounds. I cover a wide range of musical styles and these strings give me the tone range I need.
