Good Pickup
Pickup system is quite good. But if you need to replace any of the adhesive that mounts the devices to your guitar you are out of luck. Fishman does not sell it. You ill have to buy a complete new mounting unit with the strips on it.
Fisherman matrix infinity blend system installation
Installed the fisherman matrix infinity blend system on a hand bilt 000 guitar. Installation went smoothly after down loading the instructions. The system has a natural acoustic sound without the artificial amplified effects. I would say fishan has got it right..
Best acoustic guitar pickup system
This was a very easy install on a Martin DM guitar, and I would have given it 5 stars, except for a couple of minor issues I had: 1: The Velcro which holds the battery bag didn't stick well, but I was able to replace it with some industrial Velcro I had. 2: Both controls also came off as well, which I fixed by applying a little Elmer's Wood Glue to hold them in place. The microphone… read more so far has not come off. Now to what I really like about this is that you don't have a pickup, and cable in the way like those that fit in the sound hole. You also have much more control over the tone with the low pass filter switch, and the blend, and tone controls. The installation was pretty easy. Martin already had the hole where the wire for the pick drilled through the bridge, so I only had to continue drilling through the sound board. Drilling the hole where the input jack goes was a little trickier, as I didn't have a drill bit that was large enough, but if your careful you can use the smaller bit to widen the hole. Just be careful not to make it too large. Before dealing with the wires inside the guitar, I put strings on it to test it to make sure everything was working properly. Once that was done, I just had to loosen the strings enough to get my hand inside to tidy up the wires.
