DR Sunbeam bass strings

I needed to change the strings on my '75 Rickenbacker 4001 and wanted to return to roundwounds after several years of Rotosound flats. When I put the DR Sunbeams on (45-105), I noticed an immediate change in clarity and output. The strings seemed more balanced and the tone made me realize what I had been missing. While I still like the smoothness of flats, I'm really pleased with read more the Sunbeams and plan to continue to use them as my "go to" rounds. I also plan to use them on my Fender American Jazz when it comes time to change the current set. Give these strings a try...you'll be impressed by the depth and just the right amount of top end. Thanks also to my Sweetwater rep, Bob Mondok, for his assistance in getting these strings to me in a timely manner!

I love these strings. They feel perfect and the tension is just right. They sound absolutely amazing and outlast most other strings. I received a new high-end bass changed the strings to my "go to" DR Sunbeams and boom there is my sound.

I have tried several brands of string on my jazz bass, and since putting these DR's on it, I have realised that my search is complete. These strings are just magic, and have details no other brands do.For instance they increase the sustain of the instrument, they bring out the best of my bass. The string interaction is great and harmonics or more pronounced and easier to play on read more these strings than any others.Best thing about these strings is that they just last. It is plain and simple, these strings last much longer than others I have tried, and continue to articulate the way they did when I first put them on. Such versatile strings and can be used to get tones that suit anything from jazz, to rock to metal.
