Great quality and performance

I am very happy with this effects pedal. Strymon quality is top notch and the adjustability of the effects is a real selling point. I highly recommend this product. My only reason for a 4.5 is the backing info is a bit sparse. As always, Sean Geyer and the Sweetwater team are the best to deal with. They really go the extra mile to help the customer.

Strymon Orbit

Flanging is something I always had trouble with.I could never quite get the sound I wanted from other pedals. This one has a mind boggling array of features, and the sound quality is typical Strymon-it's elevated to a whole new dimension nobody else can match. The build quality is superb, expression pedal input allows you to control any of it's settings-something else I've never seen read more before. There are a lot of good flangers out there, but this one is a great one, analog warmth with digital silence,no volume drop when you engage it or other problems.Check out the Strymon website video of the timeline with the orbit in it's effect loop-this is an amazing device on every level!Ultimately,it either inspires you or it doesn't. Strymon pedals take your sound in unexpected and creative new directions. That is something everyone can appreciate.I play through 2 Orange amps in stereo, and this thing sounds huge through my effects loop!

Best Flanger Ever? You Bet! (Its a Strymon!)

I already own several Strymon pedals, and just like any other player who uses modulation, delay and/or reverb in their set-up....I believe once you hear a Strymon chorus, reverb or delay thru your rig you will be converted LOLZ. Anyhow, I figured their flanger had to be at least as good as the others I have tried and owned (all the usual suspects) - my biggest gripe about this read more flanger is the cost. $ is a lot of cash for a flanger. That being said, when I hooked it into my pedal-board and turned it on, within 1 minute I was at Heart "Barracuda", in a little more than 5 more minutes I had dialed up that watery chorus tone from RUSH Hemispheres, The Police "Walking on the Moon" tone, and on into VHII heavy flange running on EVH's magical gain (I'm not quite at EVH's "brown" gain tone but I'm still working on THAT!)...anyhow trust me on this....the Strymon Orbit Flanger can cover all of that territory and so much more. The pedal is completely silent ON or OFF. As in Zero hum. Totally silent footswitching. The onboard favorite switch is quite handy (which does save from having to buy a Strymon favorite switch). I used it to store my fave 80's Andy Summer's Police tone) and kept the main setting at that unique 70's/80's RUSH oscillating watery chorus sound. The pedal is pretty light but well-built, like a tank. Open it up and move the jumpers and it can be configured to output L/R stereo. A MIX control. YES! So you can dial up more of your particular weirdness or calm it all down and let your original signal pass through with just a taste of flanger riding in the mix. Any new-wave guitarist, 70's/80's cover band player, any alt-rock to metal to shoegazer to ambient post-rock guitar player would benefit from this pedal. So - is it a lot of cash? Yes, but all the flanger you will ever need and then some. Shout out to my friend Aaron Smith at Sweetwater who delivers the best music store customer experience I have ever had each and every time I deal with him. Thank you so much, Aaron.
