Does EXACTLY what I wanted it to do
I use this to drive my ENGL E212VHB cabinet from my Pod Go or Helix. I run DI to FOH from the main out on my Pod Go or Helix and amp out with cab sim off to the Powerstage. It gives me the kick in the pants I've been missing and more stage volume than I'd ever need. The cab sim built in the powerstage is OK and would work in a pinch, but using the L6 cab models and/or custom… read more IR's from the modeler to FOH sound better to my ears. If you use a modeler or preamp pedals and have a cabinet or the venue provides one, this is a no brainer. LOUD enough for ANY size gig or genre.
Awesome Power Amp
I use this to power a Marshall SC112 to use with a Helix. Definitely one of the better purchases I've made. It seems to be very transparent with the eq knobs all sat to 0, and they provide just enough tone shaping to help set your sound for the room.
Amazing, punchy, clean POWER! Tube Preamps best friend
I usually don't write reviews for products, but this thing is so great, I felt I needed to help spread the word. I have been using tube preamps for awhile now, and most recently the Synergy modular preamp system (awesome btw). So, I have been on the hunt for a good poweramp. I tried tube poweramps and tube heads (using the fx return). They all sounded fine but were all so **** heavy… read more and turned my rig into an impracticable behemoth. I decided to give the Powerstage a shot. WOW! Clean, articulate, more juice than you'd ever need and light as a cookbook! My preamps come alive and sound so great. I did a little a/b test with a 100 watt tube poweramp and hands down the Powerstage sounded better. The only (slight) negative to me is the price. 500 Seems a little steep for what it is. But I'm so happy with it that doesn't enter my mind very much. Also the cab sim kinda sux tbh. But,who knows it might come in handy someday. This product seems to be aimed at pedal use ( what isn't these days) but if you are a tube preamp person and need a great sounding, light, power solution...give the Seymour Powerstage 200 a go. You'll love it.
Loud
I've been searching forever for the best pedal board amp to go along with my Boss GT-1000.I hit the jackpot. This is very loud and the EQ is an extra bonus. Let's you dial in the room. Also the Cab sim sound exactly like my 4 X 12 V3 Ir that I usually use when recording. Buy it if you are looking for a power amp!
Keeps up 100w Marshall
I am am running out of Bogner Harlow Boost pedal into a KSR Ceres preamp pedal into this. I just wired my Hughes & Kettner 2/12 cab to 4 ohms to max the power output of this amp. My concern with this amp when considering to purchase it was, could it keep up with a loud drummer playing live. Honestly with a 8ohm load I'd say no but with the 4 ohm load it most definitely can. I just… read more checked it against my 100w Marshall JVM combo tube amp and was very satisfied with its performance. It's seems very well made and looks great. The idea of having the power of a heavy tube amp in the palm of my hand is amazing and a relief for my back.
