Beware - they do NOT fit Yamaha out of the package
I bought these for a Yamaha A5.... They do NOT fit without modification. Not really upset at the product, but wanted to warn others, these will not work without modification and I found out sanding them is a royal pain in the you-know-where, and still, I couldn't even get the first one to stay seated. They may work fine for other brands, but don't expect them to drop right into… read more a Yamaha. As for sound, I never got to hear them.
These are no better than the stock pins
I found out by accident that These are no better than the stock pins. I was changing the strings on my Martin acoustic guitar, and when I removed the stock pins they looked like plastic. So I called for an RMA and told the Rep my story. He in turn contacted them to figure out what the problem was with their pins. The problem is their pins are .203 thousands and the holes in my Martin are .218 . So I just use the original stock pins with the new strings. And man I was surprised at how much better the guitar sounded with the new strings. That got me thinking that the people that leave reviews saying these pins make their guitar sound better, are deceived. What they are really hearing is how much better the guitar sounds with new strings. You see your strings start sounding poor has you play your guitar over time. So after a few months and 80 hours of playing on new strings, the strings sound poor. Only you don't notice the change from good to poor because it's a gradual slow process. So when you put on new strings it's a big change from poor to good. And people think it's the different type of pins because that's what the Ad description says.
Great Replacement Bridge Pin Set
Replaced the white bridge pins that came with my Godin Ultra A6 with these. They fit and work perfectly.
