I inherited a Simon and Patrick Spruce Top cut away from my dad. I had played it before when he was alive but wasn't real impressed the strings were pretty dead and the piezo pick up in it had a lot to be desired (quacky sound and the bass strings kept taking off with feedback couldn't EQ it out.) I took a chance a carved a large spot for the Fishman and installed the new piezo.… read more I put on a new set off strings and voila! This thing sounds absolutely wonderful. It sounds as good or better than many Martin's I've played and heard. There was a wonderful guitar in there and the Fishman really brought it out. Dad would be amazed to hear it now. He had a real jewel there, diamond in the rough.
