Unlike many of the reviews I saw prior to purchasing my unit, I needed to replace an old system in my Fender AG 15N series acoustic. My old unit had simply quit working and was unreliable. Also, it only was Volume and tone knob, with no preamp. I purchased the Fishman presys unit and am well pleased. It didn't color my sound but it is more full. The tone adjustment is so flexible… read more that I can plug and play in almost any system. The notch feature is great when just playing simple venues with a direct connection to house PA. Only dissatisfaction was with install template; the hole pattern was not accurate and I ended up 'slotting' the screw holes on my guitar. The body covers this and all looks good, but since I was replacing an old unit, this could have been bad. If you invest in one, carefully layout the preamp body and don't drill mounting screw holes until you have the unit fitted and opening/closing properly. It will greatly simplify and improve the installation. Great unit, worth every penny!

I was a little hesitant on cutting a hole on my Takamine ef341 to install a preamp. Fishman makes it easy with the Fishman Presys Preamp. I took my time and the installation turned out beautiful. The Fishman Presys Preamp also added value to my guitar. A worthy investment.

I spent a lot of time working on my 12 string filling milliliters at a time to get the frets and action as close to perfect as possible. But it wasn't until i installed the Fishman Presys+ that it realy came to life and all that fine tuning work finally payed off

I tried purchasing one of the cheap fake Fishman from Wish. Piece of junk. Not even usable. Sound was horrible. Decided to go ahead and get one from Sweetwater. Made my PRS acoustic even more awesome than it was. Can't suggest it enough.
