Perfect Gift!!
I bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He claims that it is the most awesome piece of equipment he's ever played. its going to be less taxing on him when he plays live now. He plays that tech death stuff, so I'll just take his word for it.
Kemper is the answer for searing tone home to stage!
I was introduced to modeling with the Marshall Code 50, then using Amplitube 4, Guitar Rig 5, and finally the Helix plugins. While they can give a descent sound, there was always warmth and certain string dynamics that was always missing no matter how much you tweaked presets, and a bit of midrange harshness that would not go away. The profiler has the warmth and dynamics of a… read more real tube amp and no midrange harshness that lesser quality modelers give you. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. The Kemper is like having an entire basement filled with every tube amp ever made! Now, I can go discover more tone options using other amps profiles that I would have never even thought about trying with just a press of a button. And when these tones can be tweaked to 99% accuracy of the actual hardware mic'd in just minutes, it becomes a no-brainer. An exceptional option for home recording and live gigs where you can bring your tone from home to stage. Just plug in and go! I chose the 600 watt powered version so I can have that "amp in the room" feel with the Kabinet and use as a stage monitor while you can send the mains of the profiler to FOH. The Kemper Forum community is top notch, and are quick to help with answers and tips to get the most out of your profiler. Shout out to my sales rep, Tom Koch, and sales VP, David Klausner for getting me my Powered Rackmount super fast!
The ultimate amp
Wow. All I can say is wow! First off. Thanks Connor for being on top of your game and hooking a brother up. Secondly, wow. I immediately put this thing to work profiling my vintage amps. I can"t tell the difference sonically between the two. It"s incredible. It"s magic. That"s the only logical explanation; pure magic.
Best in the business
Along the road in my own musical career, I constantly am searching for different pieces of gear that help extend myself into my own music. The Kemper is a piece of gear I will most likely never let go. The tone is through the roof and the midi capabilities are amazing once you understand how you can control the amp. A lot of people are wondering; "should I grab the Kemper, or an… read more Axe FX?". Both will make you happy but at the end of the day, there are 10 different axe fxs out there. Which is great to stay current with the times, kind of like apple with iPhones. But there is really only one kemper and that is all you really need. Unless you have great interest in FX routing, but you won't get a better tone on anything else. Make it easier on the sound guy, buy a kemper.
