Fender Pure Vintage Guitar Tuning Machines

I bought these Fender Vintage Tuning Machines to put on a new Fender Player Plus Stratocaster. I called and asked if they would fit correctly in my guitar Fender Player Plus Stratocaster since I could not determine this from the specs. I was told they would fit correctly BUT THEY DO NOT. The holes drilled for the machine heads on the Fender Player Plus are larger than those for read more the Fender Vintage Tuning Machines, so the ferrule is too small for the hole and is sloppy and not seated when installed. Additionally, you WILL have to drill new holes for the hardware screws BUT I was told I would not have to by the Sweetwater rep when ordering, which I found odd.

Machines are smooth with no play, stay in tune and look great. What's not to love? Sweetwater is the best thanks Ian!
